- How it works
- Pick 5 numbers from 1 to 47 and a Mega number from 1 to 27. Win with any match that includes the Mega number, or with 3 or more of the 5 numbers. The 5 numbers match in any order.
- Jackpot
- The jackpot starts at $7 million and grows until a ticket matches all 5 numbers and the Mega number, and winning tickets share it equally. The jackpot paid is the amount the Lottery last announced for that drawing. Money from any other prize level with no winners also goes to the next jackpot. A winner gets 30 yearly payments, each 5% larger than the last, or can choose the cash option within 60 days after the Lottery authorizes payment.
- Prizes
- Every prize is pari-mutuel: each level gets a set share of the prize pool, about 50% of sales, split equally among its winners, so the amounts change with sales and the number of winners. Every level pays at least $1, and prizes are rounded down to the whole dollar. Each play wins only its highest prize.
