- How it works
- Pick 6 numbers from 1 to 40. Match 3 to 6 of the 6 numbers drawn, in any order, to win. Every ticket comes with a multiplier of 2X to 5X for the prizes for 3, 4 or 5 matches.
- Jackpot
- The jackpot starts at $1 million and rolls over until a play matches all 6 numbers, and winning plays share it equally. The advertised jackpot is paid in 25 yearly payments, the first when you claim, each one 3.7% larger than the last; cash is half of it. A winner who takes yearly payments can switch to cash within 60 days of claiming, and a share whose first payment would be under $10,000 is paid in cash.
- Multiplier
- The terminal prints a 2X, 3X, 4X or 5X multiplier on each ticket when you buy it, and every prize for 3, 4 or 5 matches is paid multiplied, in the Plus drawing too. It doesn't apply to the jackpot or to Plus's $250,000 top prize.
- Prizes
- Prizes below the jackpot are set amounts, and each play wins only its highest prize in each drawing. Prizes are about 55.5% of sales.
- Plus
- Plus is a separate drawing of 6 numbers from 1 to 40, held right after each Colorado Lotto+ drawing. Your numbers play in it too, with the same multiplier, and wins from both drawings are added together. Plus is $1 more a play and covers every play on the ticket. Matching all 6 in Plus pays $250,000; if 9 or more plays do in one drawing, they share $2 million equally. Every Plus prize is paid in one cash payment.
