    Straight
Match all 5 digits in the exact order drawn.
    Box
Match all 5 digits in any order. How many orders your number has sets the prize: 11112 is 5-way, 11122 is 10-way, 11123 is 20-way, 11223 is 30-way, 11234 is 60-way and 12345 is 120-way. A number like 11111 can only be played Straight.
    Back-Up
Ohio calls this a Back-Up bet: a Straight and a Box on the same number, each at your bet, so a 50¢ Back-Up costs $1 and a $1 Back-Up costs $2. The exact order wins both prizes, and any other order wins the Box prize.
    Front Four
Win if your first 4 digits match the first 4 digits drawn, in exact order.
    Back Four
Win if your last 4 digits match the last 4 digits drawn, in exact order.
    Front Three
Win if your first 3 digits match the first 3 digits drawn, in exact order.
    Back Three
Win if your last 3 digits match the last 3 digits drawn, in exact order.
    Front Pair
Win if your first 2 digits match the first 2 digits drawn, in exact order.
    Back Pair
Win if your last 2 digits match the last 2 digits drawn, in exact order.
    Liability limit
Pick 5 pays set prizes, so the lottery limits what it can owe on any one number in a drawing. Once a number reaches that limit, no more bets on it are taken for that drawing.
    Prizes
On days the lottery chooses, it can raise Pick 5 prizes for a promotion.
