- Exact Order
- Tennessee calls it Exact Order. Match all 4 digits in the exact order drawn. A play with no play type marked is an Exact Order play.
- Any Order
- Tennessee calls it Any Order. Match all 4 digits in any order. How many orders your number has sets the prize: 1112 is 4-way, 1122 is 6-way, 1123 is 12-way and 1234 is 24-way. A number like 1111 can only be played Exact Order.
- Exact or Any Order
- Tennessee calls it Exact or Any Order: a 50¢ Exact Order play and a 50¢ Any Order play on the same 4-, 6-, 12- or 24-way number, for $1. The exact order wins both prizes, and any other order wins the Any Order prize.
- Combo
- A $1 Exact Order play on every order of your digits: from 4 plays for $4 on a 4-way number like 1112 to 24 for $24 on a 24-way number like 1234. Whichever order is drawn wins one $5,000 Exact Order prize.
- Prizes
- Every Cash 4 prize is a set amount, paid in one lump sum. When the lottery announces a promotion, prizes can be raised by about 20% for a while.
- Liability limit
- Cash 4 pays set prizes, so the lottery can stop taking plays, or limit how many it takes, on any number or play type at any time.
- Wild Ball
- One Wild Ball digit from 0 to 9 is drawn after every Cash 4 drawing, and it can be the same as a digit already drawn. It replaces each of the 4 winning digits in turn to make new winning numbers, while your numbers stay the same. You win a Wild Ball prize for each new number your play matches, on top of any base prize, so one play can win more than once. Wild Ball doubles the cost of the play and is added when you buy.
- Advance Play
- Morning and Midday drawings are Monday to Saturday, and Evening every day. Mark NEXT 2 or NEXT 3 to play the next two or three drawings after you buy, or mark 2 to 7 DAYS to play your chosen drawings for that many days. A ticket can't use both.
