- How it works
- Pick 8 different NFL team logos from all 32. Every Sunday night, 8 of the 32 logos are drawn at random: the results have nothing to do with how the teams do in real NFL games. Win with 4 or more of your 8 teams among those drawn, in any order.
- Jackpot
- The jackpot rolls over until a play matches all 8 teams, growing each week by an amount based on that drawing's sales, and goes back to its starting amount once it's won. Winning plays share it equally. It's paid in one cash payment: there's no annuity.
- Prizes
- Every prize below the jackpot is a set cash amount. If one drawing's prizes would pass the game's liability limit, as when it has more winners than expected, they can be paid pari-mutuel instead: the prize money is split among that drawing's winners and comes out lower. Each play wins only its highest prize. Where the selling lottery takes part, tickets entered at PowerballOfficial.com, winning or not, also earn points toward separate drawings for NFL prizes, at no extra cost.
