- How it works
- Pick 5 different numbers from 1 to 35, and 5 are drawn every night. Match 3, 4 or all 5, in any order, to win.
- Prizes
- Every Cash5 prize is a set amount, paid in one lump sum, as long as a drawing's prizes add up to no more than 350% of its sales. Past that, they're paid pari-mutuel: the money is split among the winners, never more than the set amounts, and at least $1,000 for 5 of 5, $3 for 4 of 5 and $1 for 3 of 5. Unwon prizes don't roll over, and each play wins only its highest prize.
- Kicker
- Kicker gives your play a sixth number from 1 to 35, different from your other five, which you pick or the terminal picks for you. It isn't drawn: it wins when it's one of the 5 numbers drawn and 1 to 4 of your other numbers are too. Its prizes are added to any Cash5 prize, so 4 of 5 plus the Kicker pays $4,650 in all and 3 of 5 plus the Kicker $75. Kicker doesn't change the $100,000 top prize. Its prizes are set as long as they add up to no more than 350% of Kicker sales, and pari-mutuel past that. Kicker is 50¢ more a play and works with Advance Action.
