- Exact Order
- Match all 4 digits in the exact order drawn. Any number can be played this way, like 1234, 1122 or 1111.
- Any Order
- Match all 4 digits in any order. How many orders your number has sets the prize: 1112 is 4-way, 1122 is 6-way, 1123 is 12-way and 1234 is 24-way. A number like 1111 has only one order, so play it Exact Order.
- Exact or Any Order
- A 50¢ Exact Order play and a 50¢ Any Order play on the same number, for $1. The exact order wins both prizes, and any other order wins the Any Order prize. A number like 1111 can't be played this way.
- Combo
- A $1 Exact Order play on every order of your digits: from 4 plays for $4 on a number like 1112 to 24 for $24 on one like 1234. Whichever order is drawn wins one Exact Order prize.
- Fireball
- One Fireball digit from 0 to 9 is drawn with each Midday and Evening drawing, and the same digit counts for Cash 3 and Cash 4. It replaces each of the 4 winning digits in turn to make new winning numbers, while your numbers stay the same. Each one your play matches is a Fireball win, paid on top of any base prize, so a play can win more than once. Fireball doubles the cost of every play on the slip and can't be bought alone.
- Prizes
- Every Cash 4 prize is a set amount, whatever the number of winners, and a $1 play pays twice what a 50¢ play does.
- Liability limit
- Cash 4 pays set prizes, so the lottery can stop sales of any number or play type, or limit how many plays it takes on one, at any time.
