- How it works
- Pick 5 different numbers from 1 to 35. Match 2 to 5 of the 5 numbers drawn, in any order, to win.
- Jackpot
- The jackpot starts at $50,000, or another amount the lottery sets from sales, and grows after every drawing it isn't won. Winning tickets share it equally, and it's paid in cash. The Multiplier never applies to it.
- Multiplier
- Add the Multiplier for $1 more a play, so each play costs $3. The terminal assigns each play a 2X, 3X, 4X or 5X at random and prints it beside your numbers. It multiplies that play's prize for 3 or 4 matches, up to $50 and $1,000, and 2 matches win one free ticket for each multiplier point, so 3X wins three. The prizes shown are without it: the lottery doesn't publish how often each multiplier comes up.
- Prizes
- Prizes below the jackpot are set amounts. If a drawing's winning claims are more than the prize money for 3 and 4 matches, those prizes can be reduced, Multiplier prizes included; free tickets never are. A free ticket is a Mississippi Match 5 Quick Pick for the next drawing.
