- 1Pick 3 digits from 0 to 9, or 2 for a Front or Back Pair, or ask for a Quick Pick.
- 2Choose Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Combo (Super Straight), or Front or Back Pair.
- 3Choose 50¢ or $1 a play. Straight/Box is a 50¢ Straight and a 50¢ Box, for $1.
- 4Add Wild Ball if you like. It doubles the cost.
- 5Choose Day, Evening or both, for up to 7 drawings in a row.

- Straight
- Match all 3 digits in the exact order drawn.
- Box
- Match all 3 digits in any order. A pair and one other digit, like 112, is a 3-way box, and three different digits, like 123, a 6-way box: the fewer orders, the bigger the prize. A number like 111 can only be played Straight.
- Straight/Box
- A 50¢ Straight and a 50¢ Box on the same number, for $1. It's sold at 50¢ only, for a 3-way or 6-way number. The exact order wins both prizes, and any other order wins the Box prize.
- Super Straight
- Pennsylvania calls this Super Straight: a Straight on every order of your digits, at 50¢ or $1 each, so 3 plays for a number like 112 and 6 for three different digits. Whichever order is drawn wins one Straight prize.
- Front Pair
- Pick 2 digits. Win if they match the first 2 digits drawn, in exact order.
- Back Pair
- Pick 2 digits. Win if they match the last 2 digits drawn, in exact order.
- Prizes
- Every Pick 3 prize is a set amount, paid in one lump sum, and a $1 play pays twice what a 50¢ play does, Wild Ball prizes included. Each play wins only its highest prize, plus any Wild Ball prizes. The lottery can change prizes for a while for a promotion.
- Liability limit
- The lottery can stop taking bets on any number or combination of numbers at any time, with or without Wild Ball.
- Wild Ball
- One Wild Ball digit from 0 to 9 is drawn before the Pick games at each Day and Evening drawing, and used by all four of them. It can stand in for any one of the digits drawn to make new winning numbers, while your numbers stay the same. For a Front or Back Pair, only the 2 digits you played can be replaced. You win a Wild Ball prize for each new winning number it makes, on top of any base prize. Wild Ball doubles the cost of every play on the ticket, for every drawing.
