- 1Pick 4 digits from 0 to 9, or ask for a Quick Pick.
- 2Choose Exacta, Combinada, Exacta/Combinada, Combo or Exacta con Aproximación.
- 3Wager $1, $2, $5 or $10 on each. Aproximación adds 50¢ to an Exacta.
- 4Add Wild Ball if you like. It doubles the cost.
- 5Choose Día at 2:00 p.m., Noche at 9:00 p.m. or both, Monday to Saturday.
- 6Play the same numbers in later drawings in a row, up to three months ahead.

- Exacta
- Match all 4 digits in the exact order drawn.
- Combinada
- Match all 4 digits in any order. How many orders your number has sets the prize: 1112 is a Combinada de Cuatro, 1122 de Seis, 1123 de Doce and 1234 de Veinticuatro. The fewer orders, the bigger the prize.
- Exacta/Combinada
- An Exacta and a Combinada on the same number, each at your wager, so a $1 wager costs $2. The exact order wins both prizes, and any other order wins the Combinada prize.
- Combo
- An Exacta on every order of your digits, each at your wager: from 4 plays, a Combo de Cuatro, for a number like 1112, to 24, a Combo de Veinticuatro, for four different digits like 1234. Whichever order is drawn wins one Exacta prize.
- Exacta con Aproximación
- An Exacta with Aproximación added, for 50¢ more at any wager. Besides the Exacta prize, you win $1,000 for each $1 of your Exacta if the number drawn is one more or one less than yours.
- Prizes
- Every Pega 4 prize is a set amount, paid in full when your ticket is checked, and grows with the wager: a $2 play pays twice the $1 prize, and a $10 play ten times it.
- Liability limit
- Pega 4 pays set prizes, so the lottery stops taking plays on a number once the prizes it would pay on it reach $15,000,000. The limit counts Exacta, Combinada and Combo plays separately.
- Advance Play
- You can play the same numbers in later drawings in a row, up to three months ahead.
- Wild Ball
- One Wild Ball digit from 0 to 9 is drawn after every Pega 2, Pega 3 and Pega 4 drawing. It can stand in for any one of the 4 winning digits to make new winning numbers, while the numbers on your ticket stay the same. If one of them matches your play, you win the Wild Ball prize, which is smaller than the regular one. Wild Ball doubles the cost of the play: mark WB on the play slip, or ask for it with a Quick Pick.
