- How it works
- Pick 5 numbers from 1 to 70 and a Mega Ball from 1 to 24. Win with any match that includes the Mega Ball, or with 3 or more of the 5 numbers. Every play comes with a multiplier of 2X to 10X. The 5 numbers match in any order.
- Jackpot
- The jackpot rolls over until a ticket matches all 6 numbers, and winning tickets share it equally. A winner chooses cash or an annuity: one payment now and 29 yearly payments, each 5% larger than the last.
- Multiplier
- The multiplier comes with each play when it's bought. It isn't drawn, so it isn't part of a drawing's results, and each play on a ticket can have a different one.
- Prizes
- Prizes below the jackpot are set amounts everywhere except California, which pays them pari-mutuel. If one drawing has so many winners that the prize money runs short, the prizes for 5 white balls and for 4 white balls plus the Mega Ball can be paid pari-mutuel instead, never more than their set amounts. Each play wins only its highest prize.
