- Match all 4 digits in the exact order drawn.
- Box
- Match all 4 digits in any order. How many orders your number has sets the prize: three the same, like 1112, is 4-way; two pairs, like 1122, is 6-way; one pair, like 1123, is 12-way; and four different digits, like 1234, are 24-way.
- Straight/Box
- Match all 4 digits in the exact order or in any order. The exact order pays the bigger prize, and any other order a smaller one. Your number is 4-way, 6-way, 12-way or 24-way, as for a Box.
- Front Pair
- Pick 4 digits. Win if your first 2 match the first 2 digits drawn, in exact order.
- Mid Pair
- Pick 4 digits. Win if your middle 2 match the middle 2 digits drawn, in exact order.
- Back Pair
- Pick 4 digits. Win if your last 2 match the last 2 digits drawn, in exact order.
- Prizes
- Each $1 Pick 4 game is a 1-Play, one set of four digits, or a 2-Play, two sets. Each set of a 2-Play wins on its own, at half the 1-Play prize, so 2-Play prizes are shown as a 50¢ play. Every winning ticket gets the full set prize: it isn't shared.
- Liability limit
- Pick 4 pays a set prize to every winner, so the lottery sets a sales limit for every number in each drawing. Once a number reaches it, that number sells out and can't be bought for that drawing.
