    More Claim Rules

    Debts owed to the state
State agencies give the lottery a list of people who owe more than $100 to them, or to someone they collect for. A listed winner's prize is held to pay the debt, and the winner is told and has 30 days to protest.
    Keeping your name private
Winner information is generally public under Arkansas's Freedom of Information Act. A winner of more than $500,000 can ask for their records to be kept confidential, which lasts 3 years, or 6 months for an elected official or a close relative of one.
    Payment options
Powerball and Mega Millions jackpot winners have 60 days from claiming to choose cash or 30 yearly payments; with no choice made, the jackpot is paid yearly, and the choice can't be changed. LOTTO and Natural State Jackpot jackpots are paid in one payment.
    Large prizes
Prizes of $1 million or more are claimed in person at the Claim Center, by appointment: call 501-683-2060 first. Winners of $250,000 or more can also call to make an appointment to learn their options.
    Group claims
A group sharing a prize marks Group on the claim form. Only two people from the group may come to the Claim Center for one claim unless an appointment has been made.
    Multi-draw tickets
If you cash a multi-draw ticket before its last drawing, make sure the store gives you a reissued ticket for the drawings left.
