- Straight
- Match all 3 digits in the exact order drawn.
- Box
- Match all 3 digits in any order. A number with a repeated digit, like 112, is 3-way and pays $200, and three different digits, like 123, are 6-way and pay $100: the fewer orders, the bigger the prize.
- Straight/Box
- One $1 play that wins on the exact order of your digits or any other order. The exact order pays $350 whether your number is 3-way or 6-way. Any other order pays $126 on a 3-way number, like 112, and $50 on a 6-way number, like 123.
- Combo
- Nebraska's Combo pays for each of your digits that matches the digit drawn in the same position: all 3 for $100, any 2 for $8, or any 1 for $1. Your 123 against a drawn 173 matches 2 positions, the first and the last.
- Prizes
- Every prize is a set cash amount, and each play wins only its highest prize. A Straight/Box play pays $350 for the exact order whether the number is 3-way or 6-way, and less for any other order. Combo pays for digits that match in their exact positions: $100 for all 3, $8 for any 2 and $1 for any 1.
- Liability limit
- Pick 3 pays set prizes, so the lottery caps what it can owe on the top prize at $150,000 a drawing, 250 Straight prizes of $600. Once a number is bought so often that the limit would be reached if it were drawn, sales stop for it in that drawing.
