Prizes of $400,000 or more, and prizes paid as an annuity, are claimed in person with the Kansas Lottery. Online prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the win.
    Debts owed to the state
    Every prize of $50 or more claimed at a Kansas Lottery office goes through the Kansas Setoff Program: back taxes, child support and certain other debts owed to the state are taken out of the prize first, and the winner is paid the rest.
